Every Single Day

I was standing by the lake at our local church camp 

watching my grandkids paddle in kayaks and paddle boats, 

during our granddaughter's graduation party.

A warm breeze drifted across the water 

and my eye was drawn to the wild daisies

along the shore. 

Their beauty nodded at me and reminded me I'd have peace 

if I wrapped my grandchildren in prayer and trusted God.

God's peace is beyond my understanding, 

but I know I need it every single day.
