WHite Hair and a Macbook
Isaiah 46:4
Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
Instead of gray hair, I can insert white hair.
I have loved learning for as long as I can remember. My curiosity has kept me open to discovery. Even in my old age and with my white hair, I’m willing to try new things. All this to say, I switched laptops this week from a PC, which I’ve used since I started working with computers in the library in 1997, to a MacBook.
Can we say learning curve? Yes, there is one. I’ve spent some time asking God for wisdom and patience in the last few days. I know the end result will be good. The laptop is much faster. My poor old PC was performing like a sloth ran the show. Of course, this isn’t a major change in life, but I’m right in the middle of self-publishing my new novel. I felt a little like the devil laughed and said, “I’ll stop her. She mentions Jesus in this book, so I’ll have some fun.” Now, I don’t know if that’s what happened, but it sure felt like it.
But I’ve got news for him; God and I are forging on, and I’ll learn what I need to make this happen.
You see, God has my back. He sustains me and carries me. I trust Him to help me with everything, big, little, frustrating, and wonderful. No matter what I’m going through, I have faith in God, hope in Jesus, and the Holy Spirit who guides me.
Whether life throws me a disaster, a challenge, or a simple problem, I trust in the One Who is with me in all things.
Trust in God to sustain and carry you.
